Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Novak attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2000, then completed a rotating internship focusing on emergency/critical care medicine, surgery, and internal medicine at the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center of San Diego. Following her internship, she remained in southern California practicing emergency medicine over the next two years. Wishing to be closer to family, Dr. Novak relocated to the Capital Region before joining our staff as a full time emergency veterinarian. With a growing family at home, she became a part time staff veterinarian in late 2006. Dr. Novak and her beloved husband, Aaron, share their house with 3 feisty children, an assortment of furry four legged friends, and four funny feathered hens.
