Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Holtze joined LVAH in the spring of 2015 as an associate veterinarian. Although he grew up in the Rochester area, he is returning to New York after having lived all over the country. Dr. Holtze earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Technology from Denison University in Ohio. Shortly after graduating, he and his wife rescued a pregnant cat, whose sad tale inspired him to pursue a career as veterinarian. Dr. Holtze finished up the rest of the needed coursework at Ohio State University and Louisiana State University, while working as a technician to get more experience in the field. He is a 2013 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Holtze then spent the next two years in Juneau, Alaska as an associate veterinarian. When not pursuing his passion in advancing high quality medicine, surgery and dentistry in companion animals, Dr. Holtze enjoys spending his time with his wife and their two adorable boys. Together they like to travel, go outdoors, and follow whatever the next adventure may bring.
