Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Benedetti grew up on a small farm in Bloomfield, NY, which inspired her pursuit of veterinary medicine. From an early age she cared for a menagerie of pets, livestock, birds and miscellaneous wildlings. As the daughter of a dentist and a chemist, medicine and science were present throughout her life, laying the foundation for a future in veterinary medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree in liberal arts from Syracuse University, where she met her husband, Anthony. After spending several years working in various parts of the country including a wildlife hospital in Northern Wisconsin, and veterinary hospitals in San Francisco and Boston, they settled in Denver, Colorado so that she could pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. After earning her MS in Anatomy (2000) and DVM (2005) from Colorado State University she worked at AAHA-accredited Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital in Denver, Colorado. After 10 years in Colorado, Dr. Benedetti and her husband returned to their hometown roots in Upstate New York. After practicing at a large, high-volume small animal hospital in the Victor area, she joined Clark in 2011. Now a mom to three wonderful children, she enjoys the challenges of caring for her patients and the families that love them. Her veterinary practice has focused exclusively on companion animals with professional interests in internal medicine and pain management. Outside of work she enjoys running on trails, in 5k races and, happily, after her kids, as well as spending time gardening and baking anything chocolate!
