Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Suzanne Patterson comes to EVC with a background in dairy cattle. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Patterson ventured to the State of New York in 2001 for college, and has considered it her home ever since. After graduating with a BS in Animal Science from Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 2005, she worked as a herdsperson on a large dairy in western NY, prior to returning to Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2010. While in vet school, Dr. Patterson worked as a student technician in the Equine and Farm Animal Hospital at Cornell, and had a summer externship with the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service at Cargill Taylor Packing, the largest cull dairy cattle plant on the East Coast. After graduating, she spent two years working for a private mixed animal practice in western NY, where she spent most of her time on dairies.
