She continued her study of Chinese medicine by gaining certification in Chinese herbal medicine, medical massage, and food therapy. She is a respected member of the faculty of the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine in Florida, and a lecturer and author. She is director of the New York Veterinary Acupuncture Service Dr. Wedemeyer graduated from Cambridge University in England with degrees in veterinary medicine and pharmacology. She has advanced degrees in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine
