Veterinarian Overview
A general practitioner since 1996, Dr. Todd A. Braaten has been caring for animals since mid-1980s. Having graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1992 with a degree in chemistry, Dr. Braaten concluded his studies at Oklahoma State University where he received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1996. From his days back in Wisconsin where he cared for horses at two stables to his present position at Penfield, Dr. Braaten has always been a lover of animals whether on or off the clock. Thus it comes as no surprise that the doctor hosts many, many pets in his home. Included among his menagerie of animal companions are two Pit Bulls, (Elise and Pebble), and six cats: Abby, Sally, Frank, George, Travis and Ben. Dr. Braaten also owns several exotic pets, these being his one ferret, three rabbits, (Jack, Mr. Chomp Chomp and Bad Bunny), three lizards, (Arthur, Merlin and Edgar Styles) and six fish tanks ranging from 40-330 gallons! Married to Mary, a social worker at St. Marys Hospital, during his leisure time, Dr. Braaten enjoys billiards, biking, fishing and woodworking.
