Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Brittany Gephart has always been interested in science and biology, and loved the idea of using her skills to better the lives of animals. She was drawn to the veterinary field because of the challenge and opportunity it represented! Now, she gets to help pets every day as a veterinarian here at Bakerstown Animal Hospital.Dr. Gephart grew up in Allison Park, Pennsylvania, just down the street from Bakerstown Animal Hospital. She attended Delaware Valley College to take advantage of the schools specialized animal programs, then earned her DVM degree from Purdue Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2015. Dr. Gephart returned to the Pittsburgh area to begin practicing and joined the team here at the clinic shortly afterwards.Feline medicine is of particular interest to Dr. Gephart; she cant get enough of working with cats, and strives to make every feline patients visit to the clinic as tolerable as possible. Dr. Gephart is also fond of veterinary dentistry and loves seeing the immediate results a dental cleaning can bring.Dr. Gephart enjoys playing softball, reading Stephen King novels, and practicing martial arts in her spare time. She even holds a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do! She lives with her cat, Todd, who she adopted from a rescue during her time in veterinary school. Todd spends most of his free time climbing to the top of his cat tree and talking with the birds outside of his window
