Veterinarian Overview
Owner Dr. Orsher is a native to the Delaware Valley, growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs. A graduate of Lower Merion High School, she earned her undergraduate degree from Clark University in Worcester, MA and her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Following graduation, Dr. Orsher completed a one year rotatiinternship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia before returning to Montgomery County to work in a private small animal practice.Dr. Orsher joined Dr. Lance Horwitz in 1983. In 2005, Drs. Orsher and Berman purchased the practice from Dr. Horwitz thus becoming partners in the ownership of Fort Washington Veterinary Hospital. While available for all patients, Dr. Orsher has particular interest in complex medical case management and surgery.Dr. Orsher has been married for over 38 years to Dr. Rob Orsher, a board-certified veterinary surgeon and partner in the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Levittown, PA. Together they have two children, James and Rebecca, and one grandson, Corvin. Dr. Orsher enjoys hiking with her rescue dog, Mesa, and snuggling with her cat, Willow. She has a new found love of vegetarian cooking.
