Veterinarian Overview
Sarah Ripepi is an associate veterinarian at Monongahela Animal Hospital. Originally joining in 2005, she recently returned after time off to raise her four children. Dr. Ripepi attended Oberlin College for her undergraduate work in biology, and she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Western Pennsylvania Veterinary Medicine Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Dr. Ripepi's professional interests include internal medicine and preventative medicine. "The most satisfying thing for me about being a veterinarian is the bond I feel with the pets and their owners," says Dr. Ripepi. "My biggest reward is feeling that I have made a difference by helping both the animals and the people." At home, Dr. Ripepi has two mixed breed dogs named Ruu and Kiki. She also has a cat named Phil, a bearded dragon and two African dwarf frogs. She enjoys horseback riding, reading, hiking, biking and spending time with her husband and four children.
