Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Johnson owns and operates Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital. A life-long resident of Ridley Township, Dr. Johnson graduated from Ridley High School and West Chester University and is a proud community member. Dr. Johnson loves that many of her clients are people she has known her whole life. "Ridley Township is as close to 'small town' as the Philadelphia suburbs can get," she laughs. Dr. Johnson attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1993. After graduation, Dr. Johnson practiced in Glenolden, Delaware County, for 11 years before joining the Stoney Creek family.Dr. Johnson has special interest in pet bird and other small exotic pet medicine. She has had training in abdominal ultrasound. She performs all routine surgeries, as well as specialized soft tissue procedures. Dr. Johnson also performs orthopaedic surgery procedures on our patients, including ACL repair. Dr. Johnson is passionate about pain managment in her patients and has accomplished certification in pain management through the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. She is currently taking coursework in preparation for physical therapy certification through the University of Tennessee Veterinary School.
