Veterinarian Overview
She received her Bachelor's degree from Penn State University and then earned a Master's Degree in Laboratory Animal Science at Hahnemann University. Before entering Veterinary School at the University of Pennsylvania, she worked in Cardiology and Neurology research, and these disciplines have continued to hold special interest as she practices companion animal medicine. Dr. Tallant enjoys incorporating homeopathic, neutraceutical and alternative treatments with conventional medicine in the treatment of her patients. She enjoys educating her clients and promoting preventative medicine to keep our pets their healthiest. Small furry exotic pets are some of her favorite patients - Dr. Tallant sees rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas and all other small furry rodents. A "mom" to many dogs, cats, ferrets and birds herself, Dr. Tallant refers to her home as the "Tallant Zoo", as she enjoys loving her pets when she is not caring for yours. Ask her about her Tennessee Walking Horse, Storm, as we believe this is her favorite! Dr. Tallant performs special surgeries on the small exotics, and also has training in abdominal ultrasound.
