Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Mullings was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She graduated the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1995. After completing a small animal private practice internship Dr. Mullings entered general practice and discovered a love for Emergency and Critical Care medicine. Dr. Mullings worked as an Emergency Clinician for 12 years, with stints at the Nassau Animal Emergency Clinic in Long Island, NY and VCA Castle Shannon Animal Hospital in Pittsburgh, before acquiring Allegheny South Veterinary Services in 2008. Opportunity knocked again in 2013 with the addition of Hickory Veterinary Services Dr. Mullings has a strong interest in the fields of Rehabilitation Therapy and Sports Medicine, and has earned certifications in Canine Veterinary Rehabilitation and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Acupuncture. Dr. Mullings is happily married with 3 beautiful children, 2 dogs (Havanese and a Bouvier des Flandres), 5 cats, 1 Guinea Pig, and 3 backyard chickens. In her spare time Dr. Mullings enjoys gardening, home decorating, carpentry, remodeling, and the outdoors (camping, backpacking, fishing) whenever time permits.
