Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Martell grew up on the coast of New Hampshire, riding horses and caring for her family's pets. After high school she attended Drew University in Madison, New Jersey for her undergraduate degree. She focused on biology, environmental studies, and animal behavior. Following graduation she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She continued her time at Tufts to complete an internship in Anesthesia and Critical Care. After a short stint at a holistic practice in western Pennsylvania Dr. Martell relocated to the Lehigh Valley to live with her husband. She practiced as an associate veterinarian for Banfield Pet Hospital for three years, and completed extra training in soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. She now lives in Allentown, PA with her four rescue pit bulls, (Tyler, Penny Lane, Bella, and Geordi S'ghettios), two cats (Wally and Albus), and draft mare, Anniah. She has since completed her certification in Acupuncture and Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation.
