Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Parker was born and raised in the Treasure Valley area of western Idaho. He completed his bachelor degree in Animal Science from the University of Idaho, working in the summers for the Idaho Forest Service on an engineering crew in the Sawtooth Mountains. He completed his military obligation in the Air Force, obtaining the rank of Captain after having spent his final year in Japan as a consultant to the Japanese Air Force. In the course of obtaining his veterinary degree at Texas A&M, he received a bachelor degree in Veterinary Science, then his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1972. Dr. Parker has a special interest in the athletic dog. He, along with his birddogs, participate in field trials. Dr. Parker trains and conditions many of the dogs he enters in trials. In his practice he sees many working dogs and the problems related to them.
