Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Gordon is a general practitioner who focuses on small animal medicine with special interest in oncology and immunology. For Dr. Gordon, the best part about being a veterinarian is the chance to care for all different types of pets. She enjoys being the animals' "voice" as she tries to relate what they are feeling to their owners. After growing up in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Gordon attended the University of Arizona and received her Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science. In 2008 she obtained a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine after completing her fourth year of study at Purdue University of Veterinary Medicine. Before joining White Oak Veterinary Clinic in 2009, Dr. Gordon completed a small animal internship at Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center in Mandeville, Louisiana. At home, Dr. Gordon has three cats, Asher, Nala, and Caleb, and a dog, Lunasea. Asher was adopted while Dr. Gordon was attending the University of Arizona. She rescued Nala and Lunasea from a clinic in St. Kitts, and Caleb was brought to White Oak Veterinary Clinic as a stray. Caleb has a congenital defect which makes him very unsteady on his feet. He needs special care because of his developmental problem, but Dr. Gordon loves him because he doesn't let his physical challenges get in his way. While not working or caring for her various pets, Dr. Gordon enjoys playing golf, reading, and is an avid LA Kings and Pittsburgh Penguins hockey fan.
