Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Amy Halpern, a native of Long Island, graduated from The University of Massachusetts with dual Bachelors of Science in Biology and Veterinary/Animal Sciences. Dr. Halpern then received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Auburn University in Alabama. While at Auburn, she served as the large animal student resident and member of the Veterinary Business Management Association. Upon graduation, Dr. Halpern moved to San Diego, CA, where she completed a one year internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery with VCA. She gained invaluable experience during her internship in emergency and specialty medicine, which made her a great fit for the Emergency & Critical unit at VERG. Dr. Halpern now lives in Brooklyn with her dog, Tesla, and two cats, Oliver and Gary.
